I Miss Whataburger....

Well I have some good news. I have a for sure interview with a company tomorrow, and then a possible lead with another company. Seems like things are looking up for me, I am just crossing my fingers something comes sooner rather than later. I would like to have a job so we can actually start having some fun. We did buy season passes to Six Flags Great America, so if we ever need something to do for the weekend we can always do that. Its only about an hour drive away. We are also looking into getting some bikes, there are some good bike trails around here that I wouldn't mind checking out, nothing hardcore of course, but just something for us to do together. I have been getting a good tan though, Brian got burned so he isn't pleased, and I thought it was going to be the other way around, me burned, him tan! I really miss Whataburger, so badly, I would love to have a bacon cheeseburger right about now, or their honey chicken biscuit. It sucks that I stopped eating there right before we moved, I should have known better lol. So when Brian's brother came out to visit, we got him an air bed, and now Jack thinks that is his bed now, every morning when we come out to the living room, he gets up on it and lays down, and wont move until I start walking somewhere because he follows me everywhere ( its cute and annoying at the same time), especially when you come out of the shower and there is a dog staring at you. It gets awkward lol. Brian and I have been playing a lot of Rummy and Phase 10 to pass the time in the evenings, we both have been winning, and I know I dont like to lose, I guess I have always been competitive. Well I think the pool is calling my name, so that is where I shall go.

Rain, Rain, Rain

Well, sadly I am still looking for a job up here.... its getting to be hopeless. I really don't want to get a part time job if possible and would  like to stick to the office work setting.

Brian's brother Nick came out to visit us for the Memorial Day weekend, we had a lot of of fun, but boy am I exhausted! We did a lot of walking downtown and went to the Navy Pier which I haven't been to since we have been up here so that was pretty neat. We also went to Six Flags Great America, although I am not a fan of roller coasters I still had fun watching the guys try out all of the coasters. And.. I got to have funnel cake and cotton candy, although the funnel cake was 10 bucks, which is a rip off.

Its raining today, Brian is supposed to have a softball game today but I don't think it is going to happen with all this rain, so we will probably just end up watching TV and hanging out. I am hoping to hear about an interview soon, so we will see about that. I am not getting my hopes up because that always seems to jinx me.

I miss all my family and friends still, hoping that will get easier over time, I guess its just because I got so used to living in Dallas, but if you decide to get serious in a relationship, you have to make the sacrifices, right?

Its been about a month...

Well we have lived in Schaumburg for about a month now, and so far its been great! Minus the whole looking for a job part... that has proven to be difficult! Jack likes it out here though, and the weather is not as insanely hot as it is in Texas. My birthday is coming up in two days so that makes me feel kind of nostalgic for Texas. But I know it will pass, I am just not used to being that far away from my family. We almost have all of our furniture, just a few more things we need. Its weird growing up.... and moving away, definitely makes me miss being younger sometimes. But I guess we all have to grow up.

I think once I get a job I will be better because I will have a routine every day, and not be stuck in the apartment. So here is to hoping!!!
